Consequently, this significantly escalated the flood, impacting six upazilas of Sylhet, six of Sunamganj, and six of Netrokona district.
We visited several flooded areas, where many homes had two to three feet of water inside. Many are living in beds with their families. There is no food in the house. Submerging tube wells under water renders them unable to provide clean water. We observed no public or private relief distribution activities. In this situation, the flood victims are in great distress.
Arriving there, we brought around 15 lakhs worth of medicines. Additionally, we had a team of 10 doctors prepared to address this dire situation. Alhamdulillah, we provide medical care to people affected by floods by boat almost every Day. In this service, we have a volunteer team of around 14 people who treat patients in flooded areas Day and night.
