Under the leadership of Muhammad Raj, the director of the Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh (HCSB), the organization has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to addressing the plight of the oppressed. The latest initiative, Support for Palestine’s Oppressed, exemplifies a collective dedication to providing impactful aid to those in dire need. This project reflects a mission to extend compassion and tangible assistance to those affected by the ongoing crisis in Palestine.
In November 2024, HCSB’s team traveled to Egypt under Muhammad Raj’s guidance to deliver aid directly to Palestinian refugees. Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, the team was warmly welcomed by brothers from Al-Azhar University. This moment underscored the importance of unity in adversity and the critical role of Support for Palestine’s Oppressed.
The team visited the hospital to meet war-injured refugees and provided financial aid to support their recovery. A meeting with Mr. Manjir Ahmad, the hospital’s Public Relations and Administrative Officer, was pivotal in understanding the needs of the displaced.
On November 21, 2024, Mr. Diab Allu and I met to discuss the current conditions of refugees in Gaza and Khan Yunis. The team assured him of HCSB’s unwavering support in addressing these communities’ immediate needs.
The team also met Ms Shamima Naz, who commended their efforts and expressed her willingness to assist in this humanitarian initiative.
The team is preparing 21-kg food packages for 1,000 families in Gaza, focusing on providing essential items to sustain lives amidst scarcity.
To address the dire water shortage in Khan Yunis, water tankers have delivered 30,000 liters so far. Over the next three months, HCSB plans to invest 10 million taka in further aid, including water, food, and essential market goods.
Despite significant risks, the team ensured the distribution of cooked meals in this war-torn region, bringing immediate relief to many.
Leading Bangladeshi media outlets, including Bangladesh Pratidin, Daily Observer, Our Islam and Jago News, have recognized support for Palestine’s Oppressed’s efforts. This visibility highlights the collective impact of the work and inspires others to join this noble cause.
You are invited to partner with HCSB in this mission to support Palestine’s oppressed. Together, we can bring hope and relief to those who need it most.
